I am looking for a way to add a simple monitor to be able to note when the moog one is peaking. Does anyone know of a way to add this in? It would be great if it took into account the totality of the signal like through the mains, but perhaps I can use the subs for this or another interface? thanks. sparrow.

I think you should Run the Moog One into an interface (e.g. Focusrite or Universal Audio) and watch input meters in your DAW. Route the mains into a small mixer or meter unit with LED meters.
i’m curious about this because when mine clips it sounds awful and there’s no doubt when it happens. are you talking about that or driving the svf filter into the ladder filter? when i’m doing sound design, i keep the volume as high as i can without clipping, then before i move on i play a worst case scenario and try to get it clip. once i get it so there’s no clipping, i reduce the output 2 db more. i’m using the insert outs as outputs for all three synths. so yeah, i’m curious about your use case for a clipping monitor. a visual indicator on the screen might be useful similar to how elektron do it, but that’s a feature request.
Hi and thanks. I am thinking of something like a vu meter or as you say a feature added to the middle screen. It happens when i am playing improv and simply doing something extreme. I just thought if i had a meter it would assist in moving up to but not crossing the line. Yes its obvious when it happens. Ive been using the main outs but thinking of splitting all as you are. What are you outputting to?
i have insert out 1-3 going to three mono mixer channels, gain staged to -12db on the channels.
in order to reduce noise from both the moog insert outs and the input gain stage, i have the mixer input gains set to -20db, and i start with 0db on the moog insert outs. then i adjust the insert out as needed to get the level to ~12db on the mixer under normal playing.
are you using insert outs or main/sub outs (or both)? i had trouble with noise using the main and sub outs.
So far using main outs via xlr into a di box. Wanting to explore using inserts out to separate the synths. What are you doing about digital effects? Thank you.
the synth effects still work - you lose only the master effect when using the inserts as outputs. beyond that, I use what’s attached to my mixer.
