Pan

So I’m toyng around with the pan input on the voyager this weekend. Does anyone have any cool tricks involving this feature they would like to share?

Sure, why don’t you try to send a square LFO to do something like a ping pong pan and if you have a delay you can mult the above signal and send it to the delay as well.

Just a suggestion
:sunglasses:

you could have the touchpad filter mod do the panning for you whenever you slide your finger across it! Thats always fun…

Or the keybd pitch! And turn the GLIDE way up!

Smoothed S&H modding pan is trippy :smiling_imp:

Thanks for the tips.
he smoothed S&H is extra fun.

is there any way to smooth the signal with the voayger only? Or do you need the expander for that?

You have to do it through the EDIT menu. Press EDIT, go to “PGM M-Whl Source” or “PGM Pedal Source”, then “Smoothed S&H”. Remember the source knob needs to be set to Noise/PGM.

very cool! thanks!

Smoothed S&H is available as modulation source.

  • Turn the the modulations source switch to PGM (fully clockwise)
  • Press EDIT and scroll to menu item “2.1 PGM M-Whl Source” or “2.3 PGM Pedal Source” (depending what modultion bus you are using)
  • Press ENTER again
  • select the fourth item “Smoothed S/H”
  • Done !

No external gear needed for this

Sorry, but another answer was posted 2 minutes before mine

Although this question has already been answered, you might want to check out the Modulation Buss reference PDF that was posted in the Reference Pages folder on SquareWave. It’s a one-page diagram showing ALL of the possible modulation options for the Mod Wheel and Pedal/ON busses.

It’s really helpful for understanding the Voyager’s flexible Modulation scheme.
