After having had a grandmother a couple of years ago, I’ll be getting back into semimodular synths with a matriarch in a couple weeks. I’m looking to get extra patch cables before then and I want to try to get some packs with optimal lengths for reaching across the matriarch panel but also would like to have some for shorter reaches (reducing the cable spaghetti is also important). I plan on experimenting a lot with module patching—any recommendations for cable lengths, kits, etc? Thanks!
I have been able to use most any of the standard patch cables, though I gravitate to the Moog multi-packs just to avoid variables. You can get multi-packs with up to 2’ cables. I would suggest –since you’re experimenting–to add some LED cables to be sure the outs-and-ins you think you’re patching are doing something. I use Starving Students Music Supplies cables - even if not patched into anything, shows me there’s a signal, etc. Also, for those time you want to stack, I have a couple TipTop Audio stackable 30cm from Three Wave Music. Set of 2 under $15, Starving Students 3-pack about the same. HTH, and have fun. Consider grabbing a Mavis if you can find one, if nothing else for its utility bay.
DIY them. You just need schielded one pole cables and jacks.
Lots of great ideas here—thanks. I wasn’t aware of the LED cables and I’ll look into the Mavis. Thanks!

Thanks—I’ll take a look.
