The PWM effects both oscillators when wave is selected as modulation destination. I wish that there was an option to assign it to just one of them.
The LP’s modulation options are indeed limited, and that is partially why it is much less expensive than its big brother Voyager.
I am not a programmer by any means, so I have no idea how complicated it would be to write a few more options into the firmware. I do enjoy the second modulation option that the main menu provides and use it quite a bit, and would love it if there were more than the current four destinations.
I’m eager to see if some new options are available through the Slim Phatty OS that is coming our way.
You could do a single oscillator PWM through MIDI if you wanted. Waveform control for osc 1 and osc 2 are CC#9 and CC#11 respectively. One day I’ll have my very own MP-201 and will be able to do this kind of thing.
