I’d rather the backlight knob was assignable.I never use the backlight.
I have a Belton spring reverb tank on my headphone out, so I’d like that to stay as it is.
I agree having the mixer external input knob change presets is not ideal.
I do not like the idea of misuse other knobs for certain new features. This would cause more confusion. And on a Minimoog you had to switch the octaves per oscillators. And did someone complain about this? So the existing Voyager transpose feature is OK for me.
I also don’t have any problems with the Voyager as it is now, but I figured if people are requesting asignable knobs then make that assibnable knob optional as to what it is assignable for.
I think they about have the Voyager as good as it can possibly get and if theres a feature that they wanted to add, I probably wouldn’t be able to foresee the need for it.

Simply awitching the octave switches is not the answer. Many of the patches I use don’t sound right if you only switch the OSC switches as the filter keyboard tracking is now off. When I use the transpose the tracking also follows the octave change. And no, I do not use external MIDI devices, I have more pedals under my rig than there is room for now, I don’t need more. And I also will not have a computer in my rig.
Hmm… I don’t have the time to do that. Bob said we do not need an octave switch when we started with the Mini and I added an octave switch later and now you want another function for the octave…
Oh Gosh, I don’t like the pot idea… maybe a function for the pad (left side → -1 octave, middle → no octave, right side +1 octave).
Maybe I can implement that in version 10.5
