NOTICE: Does your Sub 37 function correctly ?

Thanks everybody for your great work and feedback ! It’s very important and adds a lot to the development process, much appreciated !

I’d like to ask you to also test the Sub 37 as a standalone synthesizer (no Editor involved). There have been many changes made to the firmware since the last official 1.1.0 release, and it would be important to verify that it’s still stable.

Please also make sure you always have the latest version of the firmware beta installed.

Thanks !

I have installed the 1.1.20. Installation of the firmware and editor went perfect. I noticed on a couple of patches that the main volume knob seems to have some cracking in the audio signal i didn’t notice before this latest patch. I am also suffering from the faulty headphone problem, so i don’t know if the issue is from the firmware or the faulty headphone issue. I will test out the synth tonight and report back ASAP

i had the same problem concerning the volume knob. was a little scared my headphones broke or something

no crackle problem hear
monitored on a scope for preset with noise of e.g. 1,1

Well I am on FW 1.1.24 and I still have the main output crackle.

Hi, and thanks for reporting this! If the crackle doesn’t happen for other users then it’s probably not due to the firmware (if you really want to rule out firmware you can downgrade firmware on your unit, but I don’t think you need to do this). If there’a already a known hardware issue related to (headphone) output, then this may indeed be related. I’d recommend to contact Taylor@moogmusic.com, who is in our service department, if you haven’t already been in touch with Moog service about this. We want to make sure that any hardware issues are taken care of promptly and effectively. Thanks!

is the crackle ONLY on the headphone out or both main audio AND headphone?

if headphone, is likely a loose ribbon cable connection point between the panel boards…

I talked to support about this already. My headphone out works for about an hour or so and once the synth warms up the headphone now becomes near silent. Could be the OP amp or the board idk I’m going to send it in when I’m done writing some music. The “crackle” I have in the main output is weird it isn’t on every patch for me only certain ones that is why I was wondering if it is FW related because I don’t remember it being there until i started the beta process.
