This isn’t Moog related, but I’m posting it anyway because I think a lot of you will enjoy it.

I was at the bookstore yesterday, and happened to start reading a book called, “The Daily Adventures of Mixerman.” I couldn’t put it down, it was excellent! And funny! (Be careful, you might see yourself in one or more of the people he encounters as a professional recording engineer.)

Check out the author’s website at http://www.mixerman.net/index.php . He also has the unedited diary entries that make up the book at http://www.mixerman.net/diaries1.php , so you don’t even need to buy the book; it’s all there!

It’s a good read, go check it out!

I’m thinking this was a series I read a few years ago in an audio magazine.
I can definitely relate to the experiences  :frowning:

However, the link you provided is broken…

The links are fixed, thanks!

Yeah, this is the same guy.
Funny as hell stuff–he really nails it with a wicked sense of humor (which you need to have to survive as an engineer). Especially the talkback stories!

I was laughing my ass off reading about his trying to get the drummer to play for levels! The guy really has a knack for pegging people.

And what an education you can get in basic studio procedures, studio etiquette, and even basic human relations, just by reading this book! Not a complete education by any mean stretch, but a good start nevertheless.
