Normal Matriarch volume output level?

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering what is the “normal” volume output level one should expect from the Matriarch?

  • I’m running my M main L and R outputs through balanced TRS to my RME inputs. No patched cables.


  • I have filter in stereo mode, cutoff in max. spacing and env amt 12 0’clock.


  • I have in both filter and amp eg attack in minimum, decay and release 12 o’clock and sustain max.


  • VC mode is Amp Env.


  • Delay mix in minimum.


  • All my osc’s are in 11 o’clock, 16’ and in saw waveform.

When I play C4 I get -46 true peak (RMS is -48) when main volume know is 12 o’clock.
When I crank the main volume to max I get -25 true peak (RMS is -27).

Are these levels normal? I have trouble getting enough volume out from the M and need to but both +4dbu and +12 on gain to get reasonable levels for recording purposes in my RME totalmix.
