Iß´ve a very basic question , I’m new to Model D , coming from guitar

The Mod wheel controls the “Amount of Contour” ? Is that right ? And in addition … How many "units " is a complete move of the mod wheel ?

I don’t believe so…
I think it just varies the amount of controller modulation sent to either the filter, or the oscillators ( if your respective toggle switches are on )
but I am a relative newbie as well. Someone else please chime in, if I’m wrong
