Yeah…John Cage was using one of these in the 50’s. He wrote a short piece of music around it. I forget…I think it was under 5 minutes. What was it called again???

APRIL FOOL-its obvious.

April’s fools funny  I was thinking what the hell does it do?! at the same time wondering if I should order it. You got me! Although I do wish for a new moogerfooger.

those mooger-fooger guys know how to push buttons
jmr

So much of today’s electronic music would benefit from a no-pass filter such as this.

I wonder how warm it sounds

Perfect!!!

I ordered one already but I’ve heard NOTHING from Moog… :frowning:

It would probably sound better with tubes.

Should we start a Moog 4’33" vs Synthesizers.com Q199 thread?

I wanna know how the 433 compares to a ham sandwich

The 433 is fat free - I guess…

433 looks quite tasty too!

Apparently this new Moogerfooger allows you to play the rests as well as the notes.

Tested secretly, here in England, at numerous classical concerts the results were outstanding. Critics reported that they had heard nothing like it.

A roadie ready gigging version, the “Ludwig Van” is on the way, as is a limited edition, the " S Golden".

Having now had the opportunity to try one of these units, I can honestly say this is one amazing piece of technology.

I was able to perform John Cage’s Symphony in Four Movements for Deep Contemplation (opus 27) in its entirety, without overdubs using one of these.

Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to open the case, so I can’t throw any light on the question of how it actually works. One theory is that it creates a delay and produces a mirror image of your sound in perfect phase, thus neutralising every wavelength with perfect accuracy. I’m inclined to suspect it’s something much simpler, such as a VCA, which would have the advantage of extremely low power consumption.

One technical point I did notice is that the signal to noise ratio of this unit is the most spectacular of any piece of kit I’ve ever seen in forty years of making electronic music.

Boy, am I late to the game… just found out about the 433.
I imagine they’re all gone by now & damn I wanted one so badly.

You missed… nothing.

I had one but it left me feeling very empty. Eventually sold it on for an MF-666… now that’s a helluva pedal!
