Murf only outputting in stereo from l/mono

Hi
Hope I’m not covering old ground, but couldn’t find an answer anywhere on here.

I’ve just got a second hand Murf (non midi) on ebay to use with guitar. It’s all fine except that it seems to be stuck in stereo mode even when only the l/mono output is connected to my amp.

When in stereo the eight filters are panned alternately left and right, so when I plug in to the l/mono I’m only getting half of them - 1,3,5 and 7, which depending on the rate and envelope leaves gaps in the patterns. The others are still coming through if I connect the right input so they’re all still working fine. It just means I’m only getting all the filters if I hook it up in stereo with 2 amps, which is obviously awesome but not always practical.

I’ve only had it out for a couple of hours so I might be doing something stupid but can’t figure out what?? If its a problem, I’m hoping it’ll be an easy fix, I’m reluctant to send it back as I got a good deal on it. Any suggestions welcome

Cheers

When you plug in a jack to the output(s), there is a switching mechanism in the jack itself that routes the signal. Normal operation is to use an output cable from the L (mono) jack and you should be getting all filter bands. When a cable is plugged into the R jack, it should be cutting out 4 of the filter bands and sending them through the R cable. It’s possible that your R output jack has a bent prong inside and it no longer doing its job, or rather it’s making the Fooger think that there is a cable plugged in when there isn’t.
