I understand this is the same 3.2.1rc5
The Editor is not usually listed at the product page. Will an email be sent to registered users only? Or what kind of release will this small update have?
Correct, this is 3.2.1rc5. Unfortunately I’m not able to tell at the moment how it will be published.
I just tried to change channels with the traditional method, by pressing all buttons and sending a MIDI message in order to set the unit to the corresponding channel.
It works fine when I am not using the Editor, and it doesn’t work at all with it. Moreover, the unit responds to any channel when using the Editor, and the channel on the Prefs section does not change when using this method.
I tried this with several DAWs and stand alone apps, and the results where the same every time. I don’t think there is something wrong with the firmware but with the Editor.
Please tell me if you are able to reproduce it
Thanks,
Would you be able to compare the behavior between 3.2.0/2.2.0 and 3.2.1/2.2.1 and let us know if they behave differently ?
Will try as soon as I am able. Hopefully tomorrow
That would be great, thanks!
on version 3.2.0 and firmware 2.2.0 (downloaded from the link on the newsletter, hopefully the official version) the channel does change after pressing the four buttons and sending a message, but when using the Editor it does not reflect the changes immediately, one must close the window and open it again to see the channel that has been set.
This is when using Bidule as a host, which is not exactly a DAW
Inside Ableton Live, the only channel which responds to is 1, and it responds to messages sent from any channel. If set to any other channel from within the Editor, Minitaur does not respond, from any channel
On both hosts, everything works fine if the Editor is closed
So 3.2.1/2.2.1 responds to any channel, regardless the channel selected in PREF, and on 3.2.0/2.2.0 the MTR would respond only if set to Channel 1 ??
Indeed, on 3.2.1/2.2.1 that is correct, on any channel tested using Bidule, Renoise and Ableton Live
The weird behavior of responding only to channel 1 on 3.2.0/2.2.0 happens on Ableton Live, not on Bidule nor Renoise where everything works as expected
I’m not sure as for me it works well here.
