MP-201 won't power on

Hello. I fear I have slain my poor MP-201. I used it for a few weeks and upgraded to the latest firmware with no issues, but now it won’t power-up. The lights and screen flash rapidly but it’s otherwise unresponsive. I am using an aftermarket power supply (https://sg.element14.com/ideal-power/77db-06-12/power-supply-ac-ac-10w-12v-0-5a/dp/2368011). The adapter plug is reversible tip/ring to pos/neg. I suspect I may have accidentally reversed the tip at some point and fried the unit. I have tried attaching the tip both ways and I get the same result (flashing lights but no response). Does anyone have any idea what might have happened and how it could be fixed?

As the MP-201 needs to get AC voltage, polarity is not a matter at all. So this is for sure not the cause of problems. So there is some other problem.

My original PSU went missing and I bought a new one with 600 mA. And it works perfect.

Thanks for your feedback. I’ll try another adapter that outputs 600mA. Which one are you using? Would you mind sharing the name and model number?

I am using this one:

I tried another power supply but same result (rapidly flickering lights). I suspect my MP-201 is fried. RIP little buddy.

thanks Till, i lost my supply!
