Hello
Does anyone use an MP-201 to control a voyager old school? Does it work well? Does the pitch CV output the correct voltage? Can you use it as a reliable midi-cv converter for the voyager os across many octaves?
Thanks.

I used the MP-201 as a MIDI-CV converter for my OS with varying results. It spanned enough octaves, but I experienced note drop outs and some gating issues from time to time. I could usually get a clean enough pass to record say, a bassline into Pro-Tools the entire way through, but it felt slightly unreliable. Let me qualify this by saying that I was using an old Roland sequencer for programming and playback, so this might have contributed to the issue in some way.
Cool, thanks for the input. Hrm.. that’s kind of a bummer. Have you ever tried running it from a DAW? And was the CV voltage set to match the voyager’s?
Also off-topic: I see you have the MF-108M in your signature, did you already get your hands on one? If so from where? Or is that just a pre-order?
Thanks again.
Ha ha… me too (108m in sig) but it’s a bit early for anybody buy the test/eng guys at Moog to have. I bought mine from Nova*Musik and it sounds like an end of summer delivery.
I already have plans to have mine modded. As Bob said '..we like to provide as much range as possible because we never know how people will use our products etc…) even with all of the planned functionality and jacks, etc.
