Mother 32 power issue

Hi All

I was gifted a used Mother 32 that won’t power on. I’m a part-time guitar/pedal tech and know my way around a PCB, but obviously, without a schematic its a bit hard to diagnose what’s going on. There is power flowing to the main board (tested at the input pins on the board) but the test points are all reading 0v, leading me to believe that some component is toast right at the start of the circuit/in the power handling. Any tips would be appreciated!

Are you using the original power supply?

When I was racking my M32s I found out that even though they have a relatively low current draw: they spike like crazy when first powered on. I don’t remember the actual values off the top of my head. If the supply isn’t the original you may want to check that as a start. I don’t know if it will solve the issue, but it may be useful to know as you troubleshoot.

Hope this is helpful.

Good luck
