Moog Source power specs question

hi

as you know Moog manufactured Moog Source models for american and for export markets.

i have Moog Source for american market.
it has following specs on the back panel:

120v 60hz
100v 50hz
30wt

i want to ask those of you who know what “120v 60hz and
100v 50hz” means. if you know please explain.
120v 60hz is american standard and 100v 50hz looks like Japan electricity standard.

does it mean this synth doesnt care about Hz frequency
and can work equally well being plugged into both 60hz and 50hz sockets?

btw MOOG SOURCE service manual says:

Power requirements:
Operating voltage range:
Domestic: 95 to 130 VAC 60Hz
Export: 200 to 260 VAC 50Hz
Power consumption: less than 30Watts

thanks

I used an American Moog Rogue successfully in Japan for a couple of years without a transformer - lots of Moogerfoogers and stereo equipment too. Most of the time it’s not an issue, but a Source may have more specific power requirements? Where do you live?

You got it! And according to the service manual, it can also be used in Europe, with 240V at 50Hz. It has what’s known as a universal power supply. Cool, huh?

thanks for the answers guys!
i appreciate your help.
