In Our band, Moosequartet, we have a Prodigy but the power supply is gone and therefore I wonder if anyone out there can tell us what is needed. Is it still possible to buy somewhere or do we have to build our own power supply?
We know that we must have 220v into the supply (Sweden) but what must come out and to what units?
You need a transformer with regulated +12 and -12 Volt out.
And because the specs of the Prodigy say it uses a max of 10 Watts, you will need about 500 mA or a bit more as output current.
I am not a tech. But all radio or synth tech will be able to help you if you show them the Prodigy and the schematics that are to be found online here and there. Mail me private, if you don’t find the schematics online.
Thank you for the reply. I have found some shematics and with your extra help I hope that a friend of the band that has repaired my Sonic six a couple of times also can repair the prodigy. If not we will contact you again.
