Moog modular with Modcan quantizer

A quickly done video demo of a quantizer on a Moog 960 sequencer.
This quantizer can map CV against musical scales or modes.
One could even put in noise and just get notes in a pentatonic or dorian scale or whatever.
Makes it hard to make a mistake when even a ribbon controller could play a scale.

Jeez man you get to host such awesome gear.

I haven’t even been close to any moog equipment except what i have in my house or what might have been on a stage somewhere.

Is that a Bode 1630 upper right? :open_mouth:
Cool!

i dont think i would ever get anything done (except for music) if i had that monster sitting around in my house. cool video though, very useful peice of gear

WOW, where did you get the black face panel in Moog format for that Modcan? I have the crappy white panel in MOTM format and I was about to just mount it in a blank 2U dot com panel. Did Bruce make that or a DIY?

The ModCan prices are pretty reasonable for well-made modular gear. The Quantizer alone is a mere 450 dollars. The sequencer’s a bit pricey at more than $1600, but there’s always the dotcom Q960 for $800. Worth looking into, anyway. :astonished:
