? Moog Model E343C CV, V/S trigger out, knobs?

Hi all,

I have a Moog Taurus II controller that is a bit of a mystery.

It is a Moog Taurus II Model E343C. It has only has a CV out, V and S trigger out, Range knob and a Scale Knob.

No 5 pin jack at all and no place to put the pole like on other Moog Taurus II’s.

What the heck is this thing?

Was there a Moog Taurus II generation 1???

Moog made both. A Taurus II with the remote synthesizer. And the Taurus II Controller for anyone that just needed the pedals to interface with an existing synthesizer. Differences are the Controller has on board electronics for the CV/gate out and is missing the threaded bushing and internal metal brace. The Controller was model 343C and the remote pedals were 343B, with 343A the synthesizer. Models with an E prefix were usually exported. The 343B remote pedals had no real electronics other that the contacts and resistor string, and connected to the 343A via 5-pin DIN. So the 343C was made to work with any synthesizer, while the 343B needed the 343A to work properly and interface with other synthesizers.
Can see the two different models on this Norlin brochure from the Moog archive site.

Thank you!!!
