Anybody seen one of these? i can’t even find a picture. They should make a new one.
The touchpad is much more effective.
I don’t recall ever seeing a Moog Joystick controller.
Synthesizers.com has one but you need to find an analog pc joystick to use it.
The minimoog (original minimoog) that they have in the Demo room at Asheville has one but it was a hack-job.
I assume you mean to replace LHC? Or do you mean instead of touchpad?

is this got something to do with penis enlargement again? cause i would like to have moog joystick ![]()
Thanks for the pics. Yeah I wish i could find one, I like old vintage accessories for my D. Yeah the touch pad is cool, and I want something like that for the D. Does the joystick affect the modulation? They need to make more 3-d controllers. Like i was saying before, I think Moog should move in the direction of real time control, as I feel the modulation capabilities are limited only by physical movement of controllers.
Not to replace anything, just as accessory. Another idea came to light just now. What if there was another small keyboard, (reverse keys would be cool), each pressure/velocity sensitive, and each adding and controlling a different mod capability. Like a moogerfooger/accessory keyboard kinda like the EMl (or is it EML?) polybox. You could set it up to change the mod sources/destinations/shapers independently.
Here is a joystick I bought from Mediamix in the late 70s…worked great with the moog modular. It only required you build your own breakout box.

That’s Mediamix is in darn nice condition for something as old as it is.
The best joystick I’ve encountered was the CatStick.
Springloaded or freemoving stick, trims, VCAs for passing modulation and several other nice features in a stand-alone enclosure.
But they’re very rare to find nowadays and go for more than some synths.
I suppose one could take a Theremin with MIDI and map individual zones to control whatever via MIDI to CV and perhaps some VCAs and modulation generators.
But you’d still have to master some Theremin skills and it would require a larger area in which you’d be free to control it.
