i’ve been told anything between 5 and 10 grand, but figured you kind folks would be able to get a bit more specific. i’m just trying not to get robbed blind when i sell it.
I see on this picture (see link above) in the upper row from left to right:
1* 921A Oscilator Driver
3* 921B Oscillators
1* 921 Oscillator
1* 994 Dual Multiple Panel
1* 903A Random Signal Generator
1* (unknown to me)
1* Fixed Filterbank (the old version, not 907 or 914)
1* 904A Lowpass Filter
2* 902 Voltage Controlled Amplifier
2* 911 Envelope Generators
2* blank modules (?)
lower row:
2* Control Panel #3A (4in1 mixer and keyboard voltage distribution, multiples)
2* blan Panels (with Bob Moog’s autograph on the right one)
1* Control Panel #4 (voltage and trigger distribution, multiples)
1* Power Supply and Fuse(s)
It’s hard to say the value and quite honestly, harder to say it’s “fully functional” unless you have experience with Moog modulars.
That is, I’ve seen a lot of Moog modulars and by initial glance, yours would not be considered fully functional unless for some reason it was unaffected by time or recently serviced.
I’ve never seen such a unit, personally.
Usually pots are noisy, jacks and switches are intermittent and oscillators are not in tune.
If you see any rust or corrosion outside, it’s likely also in places you can’t see, inside.
No slam of course, but fully functional is like saying a “car works” or your body is 100% healthy.
Unless you’re a mechanic or doctor, you’re really just providing a wishful guess.
I actually have been playing synthesizers for quite a while. So when I say, “its fully functional” it means that it is. It does have some scratchyness in the pots every once in a while. It has no keyboard because the keybaord I got with it was so smashed to pieces that there was no hope of salvaging it. I used it for quite some time to modulate my minimoog and I actually used a prophet 5 as its controller until I sold the prophet. I just have never sold such a unit so I do not know where to start when looking for a price.

well, i can always use the money but like i said, it’s a matter of finding a good home for it…somebody who will play it like it was meant to be played and take care of it, preserve it, etc. i’m not much of a collector, so if i’ve got some piece of gear that doesn’t get used all that much, i’d just as soon sell it to somebody who will use it…rather than keep it and let it collect dust.
