model d note/pitch problem

hello,

I am getting only the same pitch for every key on my model d 1974 with new osc board and buffer board installed. the only note the low F F# and G all pitch but after that everything is a G. I just installed a keyboard assembly and have checked the springs and everything (looks) fine. I had all the pitches the other day untill i actually put assembly into the moog.. i had replaced old cinch connectors and every thing played fine for about a day with assembly out of the moog .. i just find it odd that only 3 notes play now. and rest arent or at least are but are all the same pitch . any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you
, john

Well, not a tech, but the springs have 2 bars, one for pitch, the other for triggering the notes. So I’d re-check the springs near the low G note to see it that spring isn’t touching the pitch voltage bar, because the Mini has low-note priority, so that would explain why you get a lower note if you play below the G, but you only get G when you play higher notes. If higher notes still trigger the envelopes, then there may not be a problem with the trigger bar.

well i got it to make all the correct pitches, but now its wobbly or sounds like there a high and lo note playing at same time…like a low A and High A at same time.. or something like that hard to explain… kinda squirrelly. =)

but i do get all the individual note pitches

Sounds like you need to take it to a tech. What area are you in? Being in the middle of the US, I found a really good tech, but you could try cleaning the buss bars and springs, however a word of warning: It is an old synth and there will be age-related problems, if you aren’t careful you can make it worse. Still it seems like you should be able to get it fixed for a reasonable price.
