Can someone please confirm if it is possible to store my minitaur presets (.syx) in an Akai Mpc (500 or 1000) and send them to my minitaur easely ?. Possibly inside a track where i could autoload the preset when a track starts playing in its sequence mode?
I´ve been reading here and there but there´s not much info or a clear response.. and i´m planning to get one, since i don´t feel quite confident with a computer at the stage.
Hey - I use a MT and a MPC1k as well - don’t bother with the sysex, just save your preset within the MT (make sure you have the current firmware installed), and then send program change messages from the MPC. Works perfectly. Good luck!

i also use an MPC1000 w/ minitaur
loading presets works alright MOST of the time
sometimes things can get a little wonky, when switching from sequences that use presets to those that don’t.
sometimes I prefer to not use presets and use sysex to send commands to change minitaur settings mid-sequence. It can work pretty well. Like if you want to open the filter during a chorus section or whatever.
