Anyone planning on using their Voyager as a MIDI controller to the Minitaur? Any for seeable issues that might arise from this setup? I’m not much of a MIDI guy at all. I’ve never slaved or done any of that thing, not really sure how to do it…Always just played my parts seperatly (stone age I know). What should I expect? There is no idots guide ot MIDI that I know of…God knows I need one 
I’ve used a Voyager and an MPK-49 to control a T3 and it works very well.
The MPK is really nice because you can program any knob or slider or switch to send a MIDI CC to any parameter on the slave device.
The Voyager is a little bit more limited because it doesn’t share that same kind of flexibility. Changing a MIDI CC using the Voyager knobs also changes the value being used by the Voyager. That may be addressable by soft control of how MIDI operates in (and out of) the Voyager but I haven’t explored that possibility. Maybe others that have will chime in.
There are plenty of MIDI books available. Look for THE MIDI FILES by Rob Young. Very comprehensive covering every aspect of MIDI.
Also refer to the MIDI implementation info in the Voyager manual as well as the Minitaur manual for which CC’s control which parameters. Use the MSB value for assigning MIDI CC’s to control knobs.
