anyone know if it the Akay LPDK25 usb/midi controller works with the minitaur? I want to find a smaller midi controller for my minitour.

It will do provide that you have a computer between your keyboard and the Minitaur. I don’t have one but from what I know about it, it is USB only.
You should look for something with a Midi DIN connection. One of the really nice thing about the Minitaur is that it has DIN Midi so your old-school midi keyboard will work as well, given a simple 5 pin din cable (no usb or computer required).
Otherwise, all of the functions (like arppegiator) being standard Midi should work well. I had a MPK25 which is the big brother to the LPK25 and it was a really nice controller for my Taurus. I prefer something that has 14 bit Midi in order to control several of the Minitaur parameters which support 14 bit, but for basic playing and a really small footprint, the LPK will certainly work.
