Minimoog on Ebay - someone WILL get hosed on this one...

See the following listing on E-bay - 260127700328.
Pay close attention to the pictures, listing, serial number, item location, seller feedback, etc…

Then look up this completed listing - 200113755187

:open_mouth:

Damn! I wish I had copied a screenshot of this listing. It has only been a little over an hour since I posted and it has already been removed…

He’s back. :frowning:

This person is relentless.

Kevin, the number you posted was gone when I checked - but there is another listing in its place: 260128126997

It’s gone every time I look. What is the guy doing? Just some kind of scam?

He copied the ended listing verbatim, pictures as well & included the claim he was the original owner. Short duration list, 20 hours or less, $50 starting bid, no reserve.
He put in bold at the top of the listing “contact me at xxx@xxx.com prior to bidding or your bid will be removed”
The first time I spotted it, the item location was in a Canadian province, the next time it was in Florida. The account he used had 100% positive feedback, no sales, just purchases of purses, dresses, etc…
There were 3 other musical instruments for sale by the same last night, including some type of 1950’s Fender amp - 100% genuine & original, of course.
Just do an EBay search for “original minimoog” - unless EBay has banned them, the listing will reappear (and go away) etc…

Regards,

Back again!
Different username & location. Lots of other items for sale. Short auctions.
Item 120133100970

They’re back again.
200121380280

And, as usual, I’m reporting them to EBay - so check it out quickly!

And here we go again…

260132398079

He doesn’t give up, does he?

I just changed the number, the item just changed as well as the seller - AGAIN - in the last 2 hours…

just for the heck of it i sent the seller a question about shipping. Ebay themselves promptly sent me an email about possible scams from this seller. Ebay does NOT seem to care about anyone getting ripped off as long as they get their listing fees etc. Obviously THEY know something is amiss hence the warning but they dont appear to be stopping these repeated scam attempts. SHAME ON YOU EBAY! If I want a minimoog D its
probably best to wait for one to come for sale locally thru other sources eg craigslist etc so you can verify it and pick it up COD.

Signed,
Disgusted Former Ebayer

PS. the seller did reply also with an obvious BS story about ending the auction early on a promise from another buyer that fell thru and could i please pay $1800 directly if interested. hyuck hyuck I’ll just get back on the turnip truck i fell off yesterday LOL

See EBay listings for seller tahina1215.
