Minimoog Model D 2016 - Replacement power supply

Does anyone know where these can be purchased now? They used to be available but nobody has them (including Moog).

Thanks!

I recently contacted the original manufacturer, Mean Well (meanwellusa.com). They recommended that we reach out to Moog Music for replacement. What is Moog using for the 2022 reissue and the Geddy Lee model?

Might try: HERE:

If not and you have the schematic you might adapt a 24vac one. Im not sure if the xlr has more than one output voltage. Its odd that the photos show 24vac 1.6A but theyre advertises as 12v. If you can get a hold of another person who is tech svay and has one thy coud meter theirs and get the voltages per pin to make sure but it may just be the one pin that they use.I dont know. Good Luck its crap when these corporate owned companies discontiue stuff that they sell for such high prices to people who dont really have a lot of money compared to the people with the power. I always feel like I got gouged. As I said good luck . Youll get one 0r you might have yours rebuilt at a local motor winding shop if they do transformers.

Another option may be to get the part number and source it from any of the bigger electronics suppliers like digikey etc.

The Mini reissue uses ± 15V DC.

I use a Meanwell that needs its own enclosure.

could you please elaborate? i’m also looking for a new power supply for a 2016 minimoog, i’m based in amsterdam

I use one of those Meanwell power supplies like you’d see in a computer. It’s in a metal cage and the electrodes are exposed (including mains voltage) so it’s not suitable for safety reasons unless it is isolated in a safe enclosure. I have the ±15V connected directly to the power supply board inside the minimoog.

this sounds like beyond my capabilities. I just want to buy a spare adapter but can’t find it anywhere in europe?

I feel your pain! When my adaptor died recently I managed to source one from the distributor in Australia, but my impression is they are as rare as hens teeth. You could maybe try to have a tech repair yours, or maybe try Moog directly although they said they would not mail one to Australia. They are also very expensive - mine cost A$350!
