As the title states
Does the midi murf only take a mono input?
It puts out stereo..
Cant find it in the manuell…
Thanx
Mono input. It creates stereo by panning the bands.
Chris
Just to add a little more detail:
Every other band is on the opposite channel so it creates a really full sounding field and if you trim down some of the sliders in pairs, you can treat each L and R equally (vs. killing an odd number from either left or right, but sometimes that is desired also).
And I believe that the ‘sweep’/LFO can be used to simulate a stereo/leslie effect (I tried this when I first rec’d the MuRF so my memory of this is fuzzy).
And I think whether it will operate in mono or stereo is determined at powerup time based on whether a jack is present.
But it’s well worth exploiting Stereo if you have enough channels in your mixer; you can always blend the field to be closer to center or dead on if you like. If you play guitar and have MuRF on a pedal board, then you have a different issue to deal with : ) MuRF is the type of effect that you would normally want towards the end of your chain so provided that you have a reverb or flange with Stereo inputs, you should be in good shape.
Thank you for the fine explications people!
Its a insane piece of kit, They sould make all foogers stereo ![]()
