I’ve had my Little Phatty Stage II for just over a year now, but I’m brand new to MIDI. I’m trying to sync the arp to Cubase 5’s clock, but every time I do, I get an error message on my LP: “Fatal Error, Keyboard Overrun”
Has anyone else had this problem? How do you fix it?
You have a midi loop. When you press a key or turn a knob the midi message is being set to your software, which sends it to the LP. With midi merg on, the message is resent to the software and you get an infinite loop.
One way to fix it, in the menu turn local control and midi merg off. You may also be able to fix it with settings in your software or messing with the midi channel the LP sends and receives on.
I’m not sure that that iss the problem.
I only have a MIDI cable running from my DAW’s MIDI out, to my LP’s MIDI in. Like I said, I’m brand new to MIDI, but the LP shouldn’t be able to send anything back to my software, right?
