MIDI splitter & Mp-201 providing power?

Hi,

Just got my MP-201 and really loving it. I’m setting it up to use with two MIDI controlled boxes, neither of which has a fully implemented MIDI thru. I’d really appreciate any advice on two questions:

  1. Anyone have a cheap simple MIDI splitter/thru box recommendation? I’m looling at the MIDI Solutions one, but. . .
  2. According to MIDI Solutions website, some Moog products (as well as many others) don’t provide enough power to the splitter box. Does the MP-201 provide enough power via its MIDI out to run a splitter? Anyone tried?

Well, for future reference:

I just contacted someone who successfully uses the MIDI Solutions 1 in-2out splitter and powers it with the MP-201. Yeah!
