I just got my Voyager last week and it sounds awesome. I’m having a bit of a problem though. I’m using Ableton Live 7 (on a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard) to sequence the voyager but I’m getting notes dropped at random. Is there some setting in Live or on the Voyager that would resolve this? Also, I’m running Midi out of my M Audio Fast Track Pro. Thanks to anyone who might help!
This happens with older Voyager operating system if there is no space between note-off and the next note-on. When you use Live’s note grid, there is no space between double-notes on the grid, and you can get missed notes.
Simple fix is to highlight all your notes, turn off the grid (ctrl+4), and grab the end point of a note and scoot it back a bit - that should shorten all your notes and put a little space between them.
Better fix is to update your Voyager to the latest OS, v3.5 – the new firmware does not need as much time between noteOff/noteOn and should play nicely with notes on the grid.

Thanks for your reply. My Voyager is new as of a couple weeks ago so the OS is current at 3.5. I’ve added space between notes on Ableton’s grid sequencer but I’m still getting notes dropped. I’ve tried different trigger settings and keyboard setting (Last Note seems to help a bit) but I’m still getting the occasional note dropped. It’s not really that big of a deal because Ican just rerecord the part and cross my fingers hoping that no notes are dropped… Hopefully, I’ll come across a fix someday.
