midi murf sync

hi all!

i have just update my midi murf with v1.8 firmware. I am trying to get it in sync with cubase 6 where i set up to send midi clock message (also in stop mode, and message of start). I create a midi track on channel 1 where i set midi cc 9 with values 65-70 (1/4 note) or 84-89 (1/8 note) but i can’t hear a perfect sync with cubase clock, it seems always a bit out of clock. Any suggestion to get it in sync?

thanks in advance!

Same for me on Digital Performer..Sometimes its ok then drift away… Dont know what to do

Me too, can’t seem to get the rate to sync to protools. Seems to be recieving the on/off message but the rate isn’t affected by the tempo of the session.
Love to see a video explaining the DAW - midi Murf setup, found the manual a little hard to follow to be honest!

Mine was always rock solid sync’d to a JoMoX XBase 999

Ditto that, XBase 09 here and same. From time to time depending on movement of RATE (divider) you might need to ‘reset’ or resync to a starting point/beginning of song and obviously getting a desired beat to play at the beginning of a measure might be desired but otherwise, I haven’t had any issues. You definitely need to have a good understanding of how to tweak the RATE knob so that you are not sitting on a triplet/dotted either, etc. but outside of that and the aforementioned ‘start’ in synch, it ought to work.

I have had great experience syncing with the MonoMachine, as well as syncing with Numerology app. However, when attempting to sync with Logic… all kinds of tweaking needed to be done, and lots of reading the fine manual, and even then it seemed almost hit or miss. It does have a lot to do with the Murf’s rate knob, and probably turning on or off the triplet functionality, before it can start to sound musical the way you’d like. But, I also think some of the DAWs require a good deal of tweaking. I think it would be cool if someone were to create a how-to video for this sort of thing.
