First time using the Minitaur, Minitaur Editor standalone and Logic X together, before I was using Ableton without issue. Switching presets in the Editor whilst having the Minitaur routed in Logic X via USB seems to create stuck notes.
Macbook Pro
Yosemite
Logic Pro 10.1
Minitaur I believe is latest firmware, not sure how to check, Editor says Version: Disconnected.
Editor version 3.04
I think I might have narrowed it down. It seems USB MIDI from my Arturia keyboard is causing issues. Like it eventually misses a note off command or something and the Minitaur gets stuck. So far haven’t been able to reproduce the issue going direct MIDI DIN connector to Minitaur. Too changing presets while the Minitaur is receiving MIDI from Logic doesn’t seem to reproduce stuck note issue either. So best guess at this point is that it’s a USB MIDI issue of sorts. I use a powered hub and I never had this issue before however.
So I have a Midisport MIDI hub and I hooked up the keyboard via MIDI DIN and same with the Minitaur and that still produced the same issue. The Midisport itself is connect via USB. The Minitaur is also still connected via USB so I can use it with the Editor software. Perhaps it’s some kinda MIDI feedback on the USB between Editor and my keyboard input.
Same issue here, using an impulse61 > minitaur > Logic X
Very annoying.
Out of interest are you able to record automation into your arrange when recording by using the hardware knobs themselves?
Having an issue where I can use the miniatur plugin within logic to record automation in by moving the knobs with the mouse on the plugin which in turn draw the automation in. However when I try to draw in automation via the Minitaur itself it does not draw any automation at all.
I just tested and Logic X recorded the knob tweaks fine. I just think there is a MIDI note off or feedback issue when changing presets with USB and MIDI keyboard data. Note too just recently the plugin crashed Logic once, so there seems to be some issue of stability. Anyone fromm Moog wanna chime in here?
Quick update: OK changing the decay/release option value via holding down the RELEASE button on hardware just crashed Logic. So yeah, there are issues here.
I have just received my Minitaur and it keeps crashing Logic. Right now midi notes programmed on piano roll that were playing through my minitaur 5 minutes ago have now stopped playing. I can still play the minitaur via my midi keyboard though. I have spent the entire afternoon trying to get it to work. I had it set up and working in a couple of minutes then nothing for hrs I couldnt even get any audio after the first 5 mins. even rebooting logic did nothing I had to restart my mac.
I see Moog are not responding to this thread. GREAT!
