Midi and gate trigger simultaneously

HI,

I don’t have a phatty yet , I was wondering if the following functionality is possible -
A midi in and gate in are connected to the Phatty.
The Phatty gets midi notes but plays them only when it gets a gate trigger .

Yes I reckon you can do that. You’d set the envelope gate source to external (only) – then notes would only play in response to external gate signals. However, the MIDI notes would but updating the pitch the whole time.
