Hello everyone, new here.
I have a Micromoog that is entirely original as far as I know, and was working well until recently. Right now, the synth works well when powered up. After 2-10 minutes of playing, it suddenly begins having a second or so of attack on notes, regardless of setting. It’s not like this happens gradually, one note will be as expected and the next will slowly fade in. If you turn the bypass on, it will change notes like normal, also if you hold a note and go directly ti the next, they will be at the same volume. Hopefully this is a decent explanation.
I have zero experience with synthesizers, but I’ve done fairly extensive work on tape machines and stereo equipment. I’m wondering if this issue is indicative of something bigger like the powersupply drifting, or something more specific like the attack/decay IC or diodes associated with the loudness contour circuit. I also know the micromoog is filled with tantalum capacitors, which in my experience with tape machines are always questionable.
