If I buy the Messenger I’d like to use the Program Out CV from the Spectravox
to go into the Expression Input CV of the Messenger.
However, the Spectravox can go up to 8 volts unipolar CV output
and the Messenger can only accept up to 5 volts CV unipolar.
Would the Messenger just clip this CV from the Spectravox
or is the CV from the Spectravox out of range and would hurt the Messenger’s electronics?
Thanks
I’m fairly certain it’ll just clip. Not like the Messenger is going to be incompatible with other moogs..
Do you have input impedance figures for the cv in on the Messenger. Should be high enough to keep input current too low to hurt anything.
but Program Out is the audio signal. There’s a Program Envelope Out which is the one you want. Also envelopes for each frequency band.
I don’t know if Moog tech support is back online at all.
I meant the Program Out CVs, not the audio Program out.
It is a bit confusing in their naming but after a year of ownership I got it all figured.
My Spectravox is a happy signal processor for my drum setup!
