Messenger and Push 3 standalone

Better late than never… I just got a new messenger and did get it to work with the push 3 standalone. I have not gotten as far as dealing with automation yet. But the thing I did have an issue with was the sequencer. When just playing the messenger keyboard, the notes are picked up on the push. When create a sequence and play it back, there is where the trouble starts. And I don’t believe that it’s a messenger issue either: it seems that when the sequence is running, the Push echoes the notes back to the messenger, and each successive note drops an octave lower, until all you hear is slight clicking. I can get the sequence to play properly by changing the 2.4 PGM 3 setting to OFF (unlit), but then of course all you are hearing is the audio from the messenger, the midi is going nowhere. The possible solution was I turned off the output on the External Instrument on the Push, then you get midi, but no Audio - you need to add a separate audio track to pick up the messenger audio. I’ve only been dealing with this a few days, so its a work in progress. I think it can eventually work once I have the right combination of Push 3 and Messenger settings
