M00G M00DULAR value ? Realistic price ?

Hi , some dude is selling small M00G modular all working and in a good condition , contains 10 modules , power supply and moog case . Modules are ;Moog 911 x 2 , 911A x 1 , 961CP , 923 X 1 , 902 X 1 , 921B X 3 , 921A X 1 , moog power supply and case . I’m interested to buy it as I would like to own moog system but he is saying to make him an offer and I don;t really know what is realistic price for this . Anyone ? Thanks in advance.Max Modli

From your description, it sounds very much like a System 15. They sold new for about $3500USD in the mid-1970s. My wild guess is that it would be worth between $7-10K minimum, depending on condition, etc. Is it in your area? If not, add shipping charges. If it doesn’t have any major issues, offer him $9K, and be prepared to sweeten it to $10K. It obviously depends on how much you want it.

Just my opinion. Hope you get it.

To me, that really sounds like a custom system or something thrown together. Im not really educated on the various makes of the modular systems, but what throws me off is the 961cp module. It seems odd to me that this module would be on a system without a 960 to go with it right?

He’s right though, Id be prepared to pay towards the higher end, but not too much higher. There are a lot of people out there that try to rape people on the prices just because its a Moog. There are alot of things that you cant know about the system without turning it on and playing it, and Id hate to see you pay 10K for a lemon.

Not a system 15, doesn’t include any 904x filter or FFB or 921 vco

Correct on the FFB & 904, but…

And I did say, “very much like”…

It’s obviously not a production model, maybe just a Frankenstein modular.
Pics would be nice, no?

Hi Moog Boys , thanks for your help ! Well yes I think there was Moog sequencer but somehow was gone from the case .

Thank you for that valuable advice !

Looking at the back of Cabinet is reads :
MODEL; SEQ. COMP. B
SERIAL ; 9234
MAY 21 1977
R.A. MOOG CO

But on modules itself it’s only " Moog … and model number " it doesn;t say RA .
On the power supply there is Yellow Moog technical stuff ( yellow paper/Sticker ) and the date : 3.2. 1977

So Value of this set up would be around $5.000 ?
I suppose I could offer that much and hope to find VCF one sweet day ?

Reminder : 10 modules , moog case , and moog power supply .Modules are ;Moog 911 x 2 , 911A x 1 , 961CP , 923 X 1 , 902 X 1 , 921B X 3 , 921A X 1 , moog power supply and case

is it worth $ 5.000 ?

THANK YOU !
Max

As before, if there are no major issues, $5000US would be a great deal. You could part out the system and most likely get much more than that. The yellow stickers are from the Norlin days, which means the modules are much more recent.

Good luck. Let us know if you snag it.
