Has anyone been able to record automation by hitting record in ableton live and move the knobs in the little phatty hardware? When I do it nothing happens! But when I do the same in a MIDI track with Massive, the automation recording works fine!!
I mean, I can use my mouse to automate parameters in the Little Phatty VST but not when I hit record in live and move knobs in the LP. I have the latest Firmware v.3.1 and the Moog people were kind enough to send me their latest LP VST Editor Beta v2.0
This may not solve your problem the way you’d like, and hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to help you fix it permanently. BUT, when I use my Phatty in Live on a Mac, I don’t use the VST editor as a plug-in (I only use that to edit sounds prior), when I’m in Live, I just open a MIDI channel and an audio channel for the Phatty, so that Live is still the main clock and sequencer, but you can do all the tweaking you want on the Phatty in real time. So in a live situation, you just have your midi information programmed in and tweak your parameters on the fly, OR if recording, you can still program the midi info in and then record it as you tweak until you get it just right.
Have you heard this from the Rekon Audio peoples..? I really do hope it works then I can update the OS on my Phatty and start playing around with alternative tunings…
I inadvertently bought this VST 2 days ago , and I’m SO ANGRY , soundwise I love the SP, and its my first piece of Moog hardware but I’m REALLY frustrated at how unprofessional it was of them to have something advertised on their website that OBVIOUSLY doesn’t work as intended , argh ..
But when I do the same in a MIDI track with Massive, the automation recording works fine!!
