LP Stage 2 mod: aftertouch...?

Hey Mooguys.

I’ve played a long time on keyboards with aftertouch and I feel like this is a great feature for expressivity, especially when your left hand cannot manipulate wheels nor knobs since it it… playing another board.

As I play a Little Phatty Stage Edition 2, and as I remember some forum member having had th keybed replaced for better action (the Voyager is soooo much better…), I was thinking about something: how about replacing the keybed with an aftertouch equiped one? I know the software cannot bear this potential feature, but I was wondering whether it would be possible to route the aftertouch’s voltage (is that right?..) into a… jack.
That would be kind of a CV out, and however the AT would not be useable directly in the synth, it could be looped into one of the CV ins, or into a CV-to-MIDI converter…

Any advice or experiences?..

and a 6V or 9V battery might do the trick.

You were the LP CV out seller, Sir

Ok, this seems to be nice as an external pressur controller to plug in the CV out. But I’m not sure about how to integrate it in the keybed: I guess I don’t need as many as keys, nor sticking this on my thumb so that I jsut have to hold the key down with my finger and the base ofthe Phatty with my such equipped thumb, like a pliers

You had the keybed replaced, hadn’t you? What about the action? I’ve been wondering for years whether springs and pads only can significantly change the feeling of a board… How is you action now? What keybed did you select?

I had it replaced with the factory stage 2 bed. It was supposedly an upgrade from the stage 1. After having the work done, it feels more like a downgrade. I like the feel better before it was switched up. But really not much change.
