LP failure?

After powering on my LP today, I am suddenly getting no sound. Upon scrolling through the Master menu, I get odd characters and missing menu items as well. Something has clearly gone a little loopy, but I’m unsure how to remedy it.

I’ve shot a little video to show the behavior: http://youtu.be/NCQt3QB_NUw and a photo of the menu oddness.

Does anyone have any ideas on the cause and/or solution?

Many thanks in advance.

Warren

Looks like corrupted flashram memory contents. Have you tried a reset ?

Go to Master Menu, then System Utilities, then choose Restore Factory. You will loose your patches as this should retrieve default patches from ROM. But it should bring it back to working again.

This did the trick. Thank you. I had to blindly navigate to the System Utils > Restore item as the menus became unreadable past the Analogue Mode item. After stepping through and counting menu items though, I was able to get there and reset… voila!

THANK YOU

I used to have an SP that I ended up exchanging for an LP. The SP used to do this exact same thing. It only happened when I used my old M-Audio Radium MIDI Keyboard. I would have to quickly navigate to the “Restore Factory”. This would always clear up the issue. So, if you are controlling the LP with a MIDI device, this may be the cause.
