LP ARP/LFO Ableton Live 7 bad behaviour. Please Help

Ok I will try to explain this the best way possible since english is not my native language.

This is my setup and the procedures I made.

Lp connected to a focusrite pro 14 via midi din in/out

Ableton live 7:
-all settings turned on in the midi sync tab in properties.
-working on 64 sample rate
-compensate delay time on the channel
-using external instrument

Little phatty stage II:
-arp set to MIDI
-midi din
-arp set to 1/16

The problem with this is that when I click play and use the metronome on Live and start playing, the notes are all over the place, and when I write some midi notes it sounds like it is rushing to get to the clicks of the metronome, sometimes it starts shuffling, sometimes it jumps to other notes, pretty weird behaviour, sometimes just gets a delay of 10ms or -3…
I also notice in the saffire mix control software that it clicks and pops on other channels when arpeggiating, this I really don’t understand if it is the LP or the focursite causing the problem. I have Lion installed on a Mac, maybe its something regarding compatibility issues.

I read something about making the ableton midi clip longer so it doesn’t loop but if I write 1, 3 or 5 different notes on a clip it behaves like this.

would be much appreciated if you can give me some advice to correct this issue. Thanks a lot and sorry for my bad english. Jim

Hi Jim,

I don’t know if you an experienced user or not (if experienced please do not be offended by my simple suggestion), but as you are using a DAW (Live) and are getting some weirdness I wonder if you have some sort of midi loop. Do you have “Local Control” set to “off”? If not just turn off “Local Control” on the MIDI SETUP menu of the Phatty and it might sort it.

The other thing to try is installing the latest OS firmware?

Hope this helps.
