This my band. We had a gig in my apartment. If you only want to take a peek, jump in to about 5:00. People get quite worked up when they realise the lyrics are the stations of the local tram line. In Gothenburg. Our name is a little hard to translate. It’s a version of the citys Symphony Orchestra called Göteborgssymfonikerna. We are Göteborgselektronikerna. The electronics of Gothenburg.
Two Voyagers, me playing bass on one (with two Moogerfoogers) and lead on another.
More guitar than bass, though I’ve been on the lookout lately for a 5 string acoustic bass guitar… Had one years ago and tuned it in 5ths (C,G,D,A,E) and loved everything about it except the large body (Ovation).
As a kid, I always wanted to be a bass player and had my eye on a Ricky all through my formative years. Just visited a Bass Guitar store here in Seattle last week (Bass Northwest) and played a Ricky for the first time in ages. Truly a well crafted piece of wood.
New gig tonight!
I play bass with the EB and foogers. The Old School next to me is for leads.
Sound was recorded through the mixer. Maybe I can post that later.
Next song will be with vocoder and hopefully my fellow Voyagerist on vocals. It’s a synthwave kinda song with me playing sixteenths until my fingers ache.
BTW, everything is analog and (beside the drum machine) without sequencers.
Next gig 10/10 will be at a small art gallery with projections and synced light. Playing by the windows and speakers outside so people can pass by, stop for a while and listen. And of course it’ll be filmed!
Thanks! Working on a new song with more of an 80’s feel to it. A little synthwave-ish with vocoder. Had an idea and today my bandmates took it to a new level. Such an amazing thing to play them a demo and then letting it evolve during rehearsals.
