Little Phatty wheels and plastics issues

Hello,
I am considering picking up a Little Phatty. it looks like there might be a few issues with the wheels and the keys. Do I understand correctly that there is an outgassing issue with the pitch and mod wheels which causes them to exude some sticky gunk? How do most people address this? Are replacement wheels available?

I’ve read about several solutions over the years. Here’s what I did lately:

  • Wheels: I did not unmount them but just used a smooth clothe with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Sides: I started with the same method but the best I did was to unmount them and rub them smoothly with a plastic dish scrubber and water with soap. Worked perfectly.
