Is this true? I have seen this info on a lot of music sites to day.

it was briefly posted last night/this morning on a moog page, then had the price pulled then the whole thing. it could have been a web designer error (for that individual’s sake, i hope not), it could have been a hacker. i’m leaning toward true although the name does not seem very moog-ish (could be a working title, could be a term Bob or someone used in referring to it in development and it just stuck). It fulfills our wish for a smaller cheaper synth albeit not all that cheap. the fact that it refers to a “tribute” edition perhaps suggests there may be other editions/versions. ah, beautiful unbridled speculation, so much prettier than than the cold hard truth. the curse of unlimited potential strikes again.

yuuuckkkk…what a crappy name…
if that ends up being the name i would seriously almost reconsider purchasing one…

i hate little fat kids anyway…

By the way, who is little phatty and why do they deserve a tribute?

I’m a bit curious to if they have done something with the basic sound, or if it’s identical to the Voyager (being a simplified Voyager, that is). Though, I must say the price looks quite good for a moog synth.
Too bad if they didn’t include osc sync either..

damn, if this is true there won’t be anymore fun in the guessing via clues. Took all the fun out of this.

OCS will have sync those specs are incomplete…

I know…either was an error or was done intentionally…I think it was an error…

regardless of the legitimacy of this name or info, I will now refer to this next week as “The Countdown till Moog Music Sparks the Phatty”

LOL.

Good God, I hope its not really called “Little Phatty”. That name makes me want to punch someone…

little phatty?

oh my…puh-lease say no…

I don’t think it’ll be the real name…but I hope it is so people can overreact.

In the unlikely event that it is the real production name, I hope it’s on a little Minimoog-style plaque so you can chisel the damn thing off…

There’ll be money to be made in replacement ‘Orbiter’ plaques

( I know I know, we don’t know what it’s really called yet  )

Check out the “LP”

http://moogmusic.com/detail.php?main_product_id=227

It cost $0.00! Yay! I’ll take 3.

Does the ‘LP’ mean they’re definately calling it ‘Little Phatty’?

Are they for real?

3 only, 'ell I want at least 16 for more polyphony.

That brings up a good point. I wonder if you will be able to chain them together for polyphony like you can with the Voyager.

maybe bob had a nickname around the office

or maybe it’s a 3 octave 2 osc bong

I dont care about the name to be honest…All I care about is the sound

same goes for all of us

I dont care about the name to be honest…All I care about is the sound

I’m just picturing my wife’s face when I start ringing round dealers…

“Hi, I’m after a little phatty with an illuminated bender”
