Little Phatty - Potentiometer issue

Hello,

I have a problem with my Little Phatty Stage 2. I can no longer use it. This is a big pain, because I absolutely love this synth !

When I turn on the synth, everything starts properly. But then, the light around the potentiometers never goes under 12 o’clock. I can turn the pots on their full range, but the light does not go over the full range, only between 12 and 6 o’clock. At the same time, the value remains stable, nothing like dancing dials.

When I change preset, the problem effects immediately.

When I check the parameters values using “precision mode”, it appears that it can never go under around 2000 (around half of 4096, which seems to be consistant with the light).

I can add that it happens even with no audio/midi/usb cable plugged into the phatty.

I tried “Restore Factory”. Not better.

By curiosity, I looked inside. Nothing looks burned or unplugged.

Any idea ?

Best regards.

That is very strange…I’m not in front of my Stage I right now, but is there a setting in the software that is limiting the potentiometers in some way? I vaguely recall a setting where you can limit the travel of the pots digitally.

Hi,
thanks for your answer

I don’t see such a parameter. But it does not look like a software limitation. The min value (in precision mode) is not always the same, just around 2000.

Yoy should definitely contact Moog support.

Thanks Stiiiiiiive, I’ll do that.
