Ive ran into a problem with my Little Phatty Stage 2 (OS3.01)
Ive got it hooked up with my Oberkorn 3 Sequencer, I can get the pitch through and everything is cool, only problem is that I have to press a key down to hear the sequencer I’ve dialed in. Is this normal with the Phatty?
I want the Sequencer to control the Phatty rather than me having to press a key down every time I want to hear the sequence. Something wrong with the Gate perhaps? Unless its normally like this?

How many volts is the Oberkorn putting out? The LP Gate responds to 0-5V, IIRC. You shouldn’t have to hit a key for it to sound…are you using TRS or TS cables?
According to the Manual it puts out 10v for its gates and 0-5v for its CV range. Yeah thats what I thought, because it works fine with my Roland SH09. Ive tried both TRS and Mono cables, with TRS it doesn’t work at all and with Mono It works but I need to have my finger pressed down on a key as described for it to trigger…
Okay I think I may need a CP251 in order to use it with my sequencer, So let the saving begin! unless someone has any other solutions?
I have one other question, As well as my Little Phatty I have a Moog Rogue, this works fine with my sequencer but when I press a key on the keyboard the sequence doesn’t move down or up to that key, the Keyboard seems to be useless. I use TRS from the keyboard Trig and Keyboard to TS to the sequencer. Any Ideas why I can’t move the sequence about with the keyboard?
Usually the issue is not with the voltage but with the gate length. Very short gates can be missed. Try a trigger that is a bit longer if you were using pulses.
Best cable for the gate, I believe, is TRS on the phatty end with the ring hook to nothing and TS on the sequencer end of things. Or use TRS to TRS and on one end disconnect the wire from the ring and on the sequencer’s end connect the sleeve wire to the ring and sleeve.
