I’ve had troubles resolving the “lbusb invalid send lpusb syx” error on my Little Phatty SE II described here:

After trying the sysex file via a Macbook with no luck I had another shot today using an iMac running Sierra (I’ve read these aren’t as reliable as PC’s which may be an issue but I don’t have access to one). The Phatty shows up as a device on both Sysex Librarian and the PhattyLoader when plugged in via USB.
I tried updating to the newest firmware update from 3.1 to 3.2 but the Phatty is not receiving the Firmware. The display is now stuck on “Please Send Firmware” and while the PhattyLoader is sending there is no indication on the Phatty display saying it is being received. I’ve tried restarting the process several times via USB and also via the MIDI connection using my Motu Traveller interface. I’ve also been following forum posts but the troubleshoots are not working either unfortunately.
I’m assuming it must be a problem with the MIDI on the synth. As far as replacement parts I’ve only been able to find this:

I am unsure if it will fix the problem for both MIDI and USB… or am I better off purchasing the debugger?

I’ve been in touch with Steve Jones (Sydney service technician listed on site who suggested sending to Melbourne which is quite costly) and Moog Support a few times without reply but wanted to see if anyone else here might have dealt with the same/have a fix I can do at home before I send off elsewhere?
