Somewhere I this board I remember someone saying that, even though they liked the looks of it, they would not purchase a Tribute Edition, because of the “BOB MOOG” signature on the back of it. The writer indicated that he wanted people to associate his name with the music that was playing–he didn’t want people to think that he was Bob Moog.
Well, if that person is still checking out this board, they can purchase the LP now and not have to worry about this problem.
The “BOB MOOG” signature on the back of the LP is put on in vinyl graphics and not, surprisingly, screened on the aluminum panel. Screening must have been too expensive or too difficult due to the curvature of the back panel.
So, if you don’t want to be confused with Bob Moog on stage, it is an easy thing to peel off the Vinyl graphic “BOB MOOG” signature.
You wouldn’t catch me doing this, however…
