Little Phatty Arpeggiator Latch Question

Hi,

I have looked around for an answer to my query and cant seem to find it anywhere, however its something a Little Phatty owner could probably answer in about 2 seconds…

When using latch mode does the arpeggiator still capture your timing imperfections? Some arpeggiators are simply tempo synced so while they play in time you still have to play them in time. Im looking to have live control over the pitch it plays yet have it strictly locked to the beat no matter my subtle variations in timing.

Thanks!

Hi Christopher, and welcome!

I’m sorry I’m not sure to understand your question.
From my experience, using latch only allows not to keep the keys pressed. Timing related behaviour doesn’t change.

Anyone correct me.

What i am trying to do is play chord changes live but have the arpeggiattor forever stay locked to the beats of the midi clock despite discrepancies in my playing. I have set this up with software synths quite easily in the past, where you can mash the keyboard all day long but no note will ever be out of time, you are simply telling the arpeggiator what notes to play.

I do like the Phatty’s ability to send out midi arpeggios for my synths that dont have one but i dont think it will solve my problem…

Ok, thanks for making it clearer.

In latch mode, the arpegiator will run forever unless you tell it to stop. I think the beat is a result of the tempo + the moment when you first it the keys. I think it’s ok for you. I may try to have it unsync this afternoon, I’ll tell you
